To χρηματιστήριο παραγώγων Bakkt ξεκινάει δοκιμαστική λειτουργία τον Ιούλιο

Το χρηματιστήριο παραγώγων Bakkt ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ότι μετά από πολύμηνη συνεργασία με τις ρυθμιστικές αρχές των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών είναι πλέον σε θέση να ξεκινήσει την πρώτη του δοκιμαστική λειτουργία στις αρχές Ιουλίου προσφέροντας στους πελάτες του μια πρώτη γεύση από τις διαπραγματεύσεις παραγώγων μελλοντικής εκπλήρωσης βασισμένων στην ισοτιμία του Bitcoin.

Όπως αναφέρουν στην ανακοίνωση τους στην δοκιμαστική του λειτουργία θα διαθέσουν ένα  daily settlement bitcoin future καθώς και ένα μηνιαίο συμβόλαιο μελλοντικής εκπλήρωσης με την ισοτιμία του Bitcoin να βασίζεται στην ισοτιμία που διαμορφώνετε στην πλατφόρμα χωρίς δηλαδή να βασίζονται στις τιμές που διαμορφώνονται σε μη ρυθμισμένα Bitcoin ανταλλακτήρια που λειτουργούν σε όλο τον κόσμο.

Ακόμα έδωσαν πληροφορίες και για την ασφάλιση των καταθέσεων των πελατών τους καθώς και την ασφάλεια που έχουν δημιουργήσει για τα Bitcoin wallet της πλατφόρμας.

The new bitcoin futures contracts have been shaped by our conversations with stakeholders, and offer unique trading, security and risk management features:

1. Two futures contracts will be listed: 1) A daily settlement bitcoin future, which will enable customers to transact in a same-day market. And 2) a monthly bitcoin futures contract will enable trading in the front month and across the forward pricing curve.

2. Price formation in these benchmark contracts will be supported by proven tools to detect abusive or disruptive trading practices, including wash trades. That means that the settlement prices on ICE Futures U.S. will be based on prices discovered in our physical delivery contracts without relying on unregulated cash markets.

3. The futures contracts will be margined by ICE Clear US, including the collection of initial margin collateral and variation margin to manage risk. This approach is consistent with capital-efficient risk management practices in global futures markets, ranging from oil and gold to interest rates and equity index futures.

4. Bakkt will contribute $35 million into the clearinghouse risk waterfall. This puts our own “skin in the game” and aligns our interests for market integrity and safety with market participants.

5. For physical delivery and secure storage of bitcoin, an integrated custody service will be fulfilled by Bakkt’s qualified custodian, subject to regulatory approval. Safekeeping will be supported by insurance, cybersecurity, and comprehensive compliance, including an anti-money-laundering program and blockchain analytics.

Το Bakkt είναι μια νέα ψηφιακή πλατφόρμα παραγώγων βασισμένη σε ψηφιακά νομίσματα,  συμφερόντων της ICE που είναι και διαχειρίστρια εταιρεία του χρηματιστήριου της Νέας Υόρκης.

Οι πληρωμές των συμβολαίων θα πραγματοποιούνται αποκλειστικά σε Bitcoin ενώ φιλοδοξούν να δημιουργήσουν και ένα παγκόσμιο δίκτυο πληρωμών βασισμένων στο ψηφιακό νόμισμα.

Πριν λίγους μήνες είχαν συγκεντρώσει 182.5 εκατομμύρια δολάρια από επενδυτές.
