H Coinbase συγκεντρώνει 300 εκατομμύρια δολάρια από επενδυτές

Το δημοφιλές ανταλλακτήρια και cloud wallet ψηφιακών νομισμάτων Coinbase   ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ότι συγκέντρωσε 300 εκατομμύρια δολάρια από επενδυτές με το μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό των κεφαλαίων να προσφέρετε από τον επενδυτικό όμιλο Tiger Global Management  ενώ συμμετείχαν και τα επενδυτικά fund Y Combinator Continuity, Wellington Management, ,Polychain καθώς και ο επενδυτής Andreessen Horowitz.

Today, we’re pleased to announce that Coinbase will add an additional $300 million of investment at a valuation of over $8 billion to accelerate the adoption of cryptocurrencies and digital assets. The Series E equity round is led by Tiger Global Management, with participation from Y Combinator Continuity, Wellington Management, Andreessen Horowitz, Polychain and others.

Όπως αναφέρουν στην ανακοίνωση τους τα κεφάλαια θα χρησιμοποιηθούν στην επέκταση της πλατφόρμας στις διεθνής αγοράς, την προσθήκη νέων ψηφιακών νομισμάτων καθώς και την βελτίωση των επενδυτικών εργαλείων διαχείρισης αυτών των ψηφιακών asset.

Μετά τον τελευταίο αυτόν επενδυτικό γύρο η συνολική αξία της εταιρείας αποτιμάτε σε πάνω από 8 δισεκατομμύρια δολάρια.

Αξίζει να αναφέρουμε εδώ και στην σημερινή δημοσίευση του bloomberg που αναφέρει ότι η Coinbase θα ανακοινώσει φετινά έσοδα που θα ξεπεράσουν το 1.3 δισεκατομμύρια δολάρια.
