O Αμερικάνικος στρατός μελετάει τις συναλλαγές με Bitcoin

Στελέχη των ενόπλων δυνάμεων των Ηνωμένων πολιτειών είχαν συνάντηση με παράγοντες της Bitcoin κοινότητας ώστε να ενημερωθούν για τις ψηφιακές συναλλαγές και κατά πόσο αυτές μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν για την χρηματοδότηση ένοπλων οργανώσεων όπως του ISIS.

“We’re trying to do our best to understand the true scope of the threat that we are dealing with,We have to fully understand all of the components and functions of the adversary across the globe—not just in Syria and Iraq—and the manner in which those adversaries raise, hide and move money.”

Ο Jim Harper από το Bitcoin Foundation που πήρε μέρος στο συνέδριο δήλωσε ότι η αμερικάνικη κυβέρνηση δεν έχει να φοβηθεί τίποτα από τις συναλλαγές με bitcoin καθώς η λόγο της δομής τους είναι αρκετά διάφανες και μπορεί κάποιος να τις ταυτοποιήσει.
