Today, I’m thrilled to announce that Anthony Watson has joined the global Bitreserve team as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Anthony is a financial and commercial luminary with experience leading global companies and financial institutions through large scale transitions. His entrepreneurial and technology-centric impact on the business and finance communities spans the world, touching North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, and Asia. You might also recognize him from Fortune’s 40 Under 40 list.

Anthony joins Bitreserve from Nike, Inc. where he was the Global Chief Information Officer, sat on the Executive Committee, and successfully developed a comprehensive and worldwide five year technology transformation and cybersecurity strategy for the company. Anthony previously served as Managing Director and Chief Information Officer of Europe Retail & Business Banking and Global Operations at Barclays Bank PLC, where he exercised years of global banking and financial operations expertise developed at Wells Fargo & Co and First-e Bancorp, Europe’s first internet bank..

Για τα νέα του καθήκοντα ο Anthony Watson μίλησε σε συνέντευξη του στο Fortune ενώ μεταξύ άλλων δήλωσε ότι τον ενθουσιάζει η ιδέα ενός παγκόσμιου συστήματος συναλλαγών όπου όλοι θα μπορούν να έχουν ελεύθερη πρόσβαση σε αυτό.

I was itching to make an impact, I wanted to do something that is valuable for people broadly, not just in one industry. And what Bitreserve is looking to achieve really democratizes finance.
