2.5 εκατομμύρια δολάρια χρηματοδότηση για το Bitcoin startup της Αφρικής BitPesa

Το Bitcoin startup της Αφρικής BitPesa ανακοίνωσε την δεύτερη πετυχημένη χρηματοδότηση αυτή την φορά με 2.5 εκατομμύρια δολάρια από τα επενδυτικά fund Draper VC, Greycroft Partners, Blockchain Capital, BnkToTheFuture, Digital Currency Group, Pantera Capital Future\Perfect Ventures και Zephyr Acorn.

H BitPesa ξεκίνησε την δραστηριότητα της στην Κένυα προσφέροντας πολύ χαμηλές χρεώσεις για εμβάσματα από το εξωτερικό χρησιμοποιώντας το Bitcoin δίκτυο ενώ όπως αναφέρουν τρία χρόνια μετά την ίδρυση τους έχουν επεκταθεί σε Τανζανία, Ουγκάντα, Νιγηρία, Βρετανία, Κονγκό και Σενεγάλη με 9.000 χρήστες και πάνω 34.000 συναλλαγές στην πλατφόρμα τους

In 2013, we launched our payment platform in Kenya, with a mission to connect African payment infrastructure with the rest of the world.
