Ο David Cameron επιλέγει Bitcoin εταιρεία για επιχειρηματική συνοδεία στο πρόσφατο ταξίδι στην Νοτιοανατολική Ασία
Ανάμεσα στα μέλη της εμπορικής αντιπροσωπείας που συνόδευσε τον πρωθυπουργό της Βρετανίας στο πρόσφατο ταξίδι του στην Νοτιοανατολική Ασία για την προώθηση της τεχνολογικής επιχειρηματικότητας ήταν και ο CEO και ιδρυτής του Blockchain.info Peter Smith.
Στην επίσημη ανακοίνωση της η Βρετανική κυβέρνηση αναφέρει ότι επέλεξε στο επιχειρηματικό ταξίδι του πρωθυπουργού αποκλειστικά ανθρώπους που ασχολούνται με την αιχμή της τεχνολογίας ώστε να αξιοποιήσει τις ευκαιρίες που παρουσιάζονται στην ταχεία αναπτυσσόμενη αγορά της Νοτιοανατολικής Ασίας.
As the UK strives to become the leading financial technology (FinTech) centre in the world, the Prime Minister embarked on a trade mission to south-east Asia, taking with him FinTech specialists from across the UK.
Companies such as Blockchain, Pennies and Earthport were amongst the 31-strong delegation hoping to capitalise on the opportunities available in the fast-growing markets of Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia.
The Prime Minister’s trade mission came as FinTech membership body Innovate Finance published its new manifesto: Innovate Finance Manifesto: 2020. This ambitious manifesto aims to increase the number of people working in UK FinTech by 100,000 by 2020 – almost doubling the 135,000 people that currently work in this sector.
Prime Minister, David Cameron, said:
This government wants the UK to be the leading FinTech centre in the world, that’s why, at the Summer Budget, we appointed a special envoy for this fast growing sector. I’m pleased that Innovate Finance’s manifesto has set such ambitious goals including the creation of 100,000 jobs. This will ensure we are a world leader in the development of financial services technologies.
Η αντιπροσωπεία ταξίδεψε από τις 26-30 Ιουλίου και επισκέφτηκε την Ινδονησία, Βιετνάμ, Σιγκαπούρη και Μαλαισία.
O CEO του Blockchain.info θεωρεί ότι η πρόσκληση του πρωθυπουργού εκπρόσωπου από την Bitcoin κοινότητα είναι μια ξεκάθαρη ένδειξη της επιλογής της Βρετανίας να πρωτοπορήσει στον χώρο της νέας αυτής ψηφιακής τεχνολογίας.
The UK is serious about being the global leader in our space
The UK has long taken a pragmatic regulatory approach to bitcoin and fintech (as seen, for example, in thoughtfully allowing P2P lending framework to mature from within the industry itself). In the current global regulatory environment, it isn’t easy to take this road less traveled, but the UK, led by David Cameron has done precisely that. The UK approach is to lead, to encourage fintech in Britain, and to carefully weigh the advantages, risks and potential policy implications related to the Bitcoin protocol.
